ABOUT CATS COLLEGE CAMBRIDGE
CATS College offers an outstanding international pre-university educational experience to students aged 14+ from all over the world. Students live and work at the custom built Cambridge campus, studying for GCSEs, A levels and University Foundation Programmes, and preparing for admission to universities across the country and elsewhere. JOB OVERVIEW
As a Day House Parent in Elizabeth House, you will provide a consistent and supportive adult presence during the school day. Your role is central to promoting the health, safety, and well-being of students, encouraging positive behaviour, and ensuring they attend lessons. You will also assist with the daily operations of the house, working closely with the Boarding, Welfare, and Attendance teams to maintain a welcoming and well-ordered environment.

This role will require you to work half-terms and Easter Holidays but you will not be required to work Summer Holidays. You will be contracted to 40hrs per week working day shifts covering Monday-Friday.


PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
• Good organisational and administrative skills, including record-keeping and reporting.
• Ability to work independently while being a proactive team player.

• Approachable, empathetic, and supportive in interactions with students.
• Resilient and calm under pressure, able to respond effectively to emergencies.
• A high level of integrity and commitment to student welfare and well-being.
• Adaptable and willing to take on a variety of tasks as needed.


Desirable Qualifications & Experience
• Experience in a boarding school or residential setting.
• First Aid training or a willingness to undertake relevant medical training.
• Familiarity with attendance tracking and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and attendance policies.
