Job Description

ABOUT BOSWORTH INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
Bosworth Independent School is a relatively small school of approximately 300 students. This enables us to offer a supportive family atmosphere, where students and staff can enjoy their work and thrive as valued people and professionals. Our ethos is one that believes in the importance of the individual and celebrates success regardless of the level. Students come from a wide variety of countries and are motivated and aspirational, mostly aiming for Russell Group and Oxbridge.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Boarding Concierge plays a key role in ensuring the safety, welfare and wellbeing of boarding students. This position requires a calm, vigilant and student-focused individual who can maintain a secure environment, respond to pastoral or emergency needs, and support the smooth running of Bosworth Hall. You will be the primary point of contact on the desk, responsible for monitoring the building, providing reassurance or assistance to students who may require support and ensuring the building is locked down safely at night.

In absence of a house parent, you will need to cover for them in the boarding house. When required to cover a house, this will require you to sleep in the house overnight and carry out House Parent duties. This will require being the trusted adult for the students in the boarding house, ensuring all students are back in the house by curfew and supporting them with any emergencies in the night. Upon waking up, house parents must wake up the students and ensure they leave the house to go to breakfast before completing room checks to ensure both health and safety and cleanliness standards are met.

Please note, this role will require you to work on a full-time basis, term time plus 7 additional weeks. In the event of team absences and the requirement to cover as a House Parent, will gain overtime payments. Hours of work are: 4-8pm weekdays, 12-8pm weekends (shift pattern totalling 36 hours over 2
weeks).
