DELTA qualified Teachers - are you looking for a step up in your EFL Teaching career? Perhaps you are already a qualified CELTA Trainer and looking for a fresh challenge. Our new hybrid Teacher Trainer / EFL Teacher role provides the opportunity to teach at all levels, offering the opportunity for diversity and progression in your career.


Stafford House International are a leading provider EFL and CELTA teacher training, covering a range of ages, abilities and specific courses, as well as CELTA training in school and online.


This is a permanent role, largely based in our school, just a 3-minute walk from Holborn station in central London.


More about the role:


As a permanent team member you will divide your time as follows:

  • You will work 16 weeks as CELTA Tutor per year at 27 hours per week
  • You will work 36 weeks as EFL Teacher per year at This will be 19 hours contact time and 3 hours development time.


There may be opportunities to teach additional CELTA courses during your 36-week period as an EFL teacher, for which you will be compensated a further £9.97 per hour.

Therefore we also welcome applications from DELTA qualified candidates who have post qualifying experience in teaching general English, Business English, Cambridge and IELTS exam preparation.

What you’ll need to become a CELTA Trainer with Stafford House International:


  • DELTA or equivalent Diploma - Essential

  • Experience of teaching General English, Business English and Cambridge / IELTS preparation - Essential

  • Approved and Active Teacher Trainer status for CELTA/Cert TESOL or desire to follow the appropriate on-course training

  • First degree or equivalent (preferred)

  • Experience of CELTA candidate selection- optional

  • You must be willing to undergo our pre-employment checks. These will be detailed at interview.

  • Experience on three or more courses - if qualified

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

  • Proven organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills with good attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team
